Arrest Made in 2005 Thompson Death
It was 7 years ago this month that 16-year old Chantelle Rikheim’s body was found after a house fire in Thompson.  Today, a man has been charged with her murder.  Her body was found in a Thompson home after the blaze, but the post mortem examination showed she died of blunt force trauma.  Manitoba RCMP Corporal Miles Hiebert tells NCI FM that the investigators put alot of time and used many techniques in this case.  The accused was found in a Saskatchewan prison, serving time on another matter.  His identity is not being released as he was a youth at the time of Rikheim’s death.  The accused and the victim are reported to have known each other.
