Attempted murder, assault, weapons charges against Winnipeg man

There are 20 charges facing a man arrested in connection with a number of crimes last month, including a shooting at a drug deal.

The Winnipeg Police helicopter and several other units were involved in yesterday’s arrest of 26 year old Tyler Kowal from the southern side of the St. Boniface Industrial Park.

Kowal faces attempted murder and assault with a weapon charges for his alleged involvement in a December 22 shooting and an unrelated home invasion that turned violent just five days later.

Among the other charges against him, Kowal is accused of possession of a restricted firearm, possession of drugs and several instances of failing to comply with a variety of court orders.
