Grow op broken up in Winnipeg

A hundred marijuana plants were taken from a home in Winnipeg’s Riverview area as police took down a grow operation.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized yesterday is $112,000.  Also seized was grow equipment valued at $12,000.

There was a 24 year old man inside the home in the 100 block of Morely Avenue when police served up the drug warrant.

He was arrested and charged with production and trafficking of the drug but has been released on a promise to appear in court.
