The Manitoba Junior Hockey League champion Portage Terriers are still alive. In fact, they’re headed back to Humboldt. Last night in Portage, Tyler Anton scored the only goal and Adam Iwan made 26 saves to get the shutout as the Terriers beat the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League champion Humboldt Broncos, 1-0 to cut Humboldt’s lead in the best-of-seven ANAVET Cup Manitoba-Saskatchewan championship to 3-2 and send the series back to Humboldt for Game 6 tomorrow night. The winner moves on to the RBC Cup national championship. If necessary, Game 7 goes Sunday night in Humboldt. |
