The Manitoba Government has invested in a new gym for Kelvin High School students and families in River Heights.
The new gymnasium is approximately 10,000 square feet in size and includes new changing facilities and elevator access.
Kelvin High School is the fifteenth school to benefit from the province’s $50-million Active Schools Fund to build or renovate gym spaces.
Premier Greg Selinger says the renovations will help encourage students to get more active, while expanding the school’s instructional space.
Construction is set to begin as soon as possible, with completion expected by December 2016.
