Police bust up Winnipeg grow op

Just over $700,000 in drugs and equipment were seized when police dismantled a marijuana grow operation in a south Winnipeg neighbourhood.

A 64 year old man was also arrested on drug production and trafficking charges when police showed up with a search warrant to a home in the 500 block of Fleet Avenue yesterday.

The suspect has been released ahead of a court appearance, but the 614 plants and nearly four pounds of dried weed remain in police evidence lockup.
