 In NCI News

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the death of Canadian comedy star John Candy, but his family and friends say it feels like he’s still around. Candy’s Children, Jennifer and Christopher, say they often hear from fans about how their father’s films made an impact. Eugene Levy, who starred alongside Candy on “S-C-T-V’ and several films, says Candy was a gifted comedic actor who cared deeply about people. Fellow “S-C-T-V” alum Catherine O’Hara says he was “Just as wonderful and fun and sweet and great as you would imagine he would be.” Candy, who was born in Newmarket, Ontario, died on March 4th, 1994, after suffering a heart attack while shooting a film in Mexico. He was 43.
