30,000 lights on just one building!
Manitoba is turning 150 years old next year!
To commemorate this momentous occasion, Manitoba is kicking things off with a 150 day countdown celebration.
December 14th will see The Legislature building light up with 30 thousand lights.
Tons of events kick off at 3 p.m with the lights to be lit at 6 p.m and will stay on for the entire 150 day countdown.
The whole family are invited for the family fun event
- Snow Tubing races
- Snow Shoe obstacle courses
- Food Trucks
- Free Gourmet Hot Chocolate
- Live music
- Grey cup will be making an appearance
- Aerial Snowmobile Acrobatic performances from X games athletes
If you get cold, the Legislative Building will be open for tours and also to warm up.
Forecasts put the temperature at -24 degrees for this Saturday the 14th so definitely dress warm folks.
Special edition Gloves will also be handed out to the first 1500 people that arrive.
