Arrest made in Winnipeg’s 21st murder of 2020

Winnipeg Police have made an arrest in connection with the city’s most recent murder.

Police say 34 year old Charles Wilfred Thompson is the man responsible for the attack that left a man dead on Monday night.

The victim has been identified as Adam Douglas Monkman, a 44 year old man Winnipeg man.

He was found with several severe injuries in the 600 block of Maryland early Monday evening.  He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.

Thompson is charged with second degree murder for his alleged involvement in Monkman’s death.
