Bat Signal goes legit

DC Comics celebrating 80 years of The Dark Knight with real life bat signals.

10 cities around the world are to light up the Bat signal on skyscrapers.
Warner Brothers president of Global Brands and experiences says

“We are proud to send up the Bat-Signal on Batman Day because it is an important beacon of inspiration that makes us all believe that it’s possible to take hardship and turn it into something good. Batman Day is a global celebration for all the fans,”

Sadly, the only Canadian city on the list is Montreal.
Other cities include Tokyo, Berlin, Barcelona, London, São Paulo, New York, and Mexico City before concluding in Los Angeles. Melbourne will be the first to light up their signal.

Each city will reportedly get 4 hours of bat signal which starts at 8 p.m going right to midnight before it vanishes from our skies forever.

Auctions, giveaways, signings, and even 5 k night runs are planned for the Dark Knights big day.

Bat man day is September 21st and was created to celebrate the day he made his world debut in May of 1939.

This means he got his own day after only being in the world for 4 months. Not bad for the worlds greatest detective.
