Blockbuster is still a thing!
As of last February 28th, two of the last remaining three physical locations have closed.
Who even knew they still existed!
The two now-closed locations were in Alaska, and Australia.
Now there is only one, and it is located in Oregon.
It is truly a blast from the past with prices of the past to boot. $0.49 cents a night per movie!
The last location in Bend, Oregon says that new releases are always available but its the oldies that are the “bread & butter” of the business, adding that streaming services have a lot of the newer stuff and not the oldies, and that’s where they come in; oldies but goodies.
