Canada turns 152
Here’s the low down of where the celebrations are:
Thompson at the Thompson Regional Community Centre right from 9 a.m to 11 p.m on July 1st when the fireworks start.
The Pas, DEVONS PARK SUNDAY 9 p.m DJ Dereck Dick plays music till midnight when the fireworks start.
Monday starting off at 10:30 parade floats gather with the parade to commence at 11:15.
events to follow all afternoon with the Sam Waller Musuem doing facepainting and cake with free admission the same day 1 p.m to 5 p.m
Winnipeg at the Forks celebrating with workshops and performances all day long kicking of at noon hour.
Winnipeg Osborne Village also throwing a street party all day from 12 pm to 10:30 p.m
it’s regarded as the largest and longest running street festival in Winnipeg history.
Oak Hammock Marsh also having events all day, such as horse drawn wagon rides, and guided canoe tours with free cake. 10 a.m to 4:30 p.m
Assiniboine park also taking part in the festivities with bouncy houses, live performances and activity stations for the little ones. 11 a.m to 5 p.m
Sinclair Park here in the city also doing events and craft sales all day long, serving bbq alongside bouncy houses and activities for the whole family.
ONLY THE FORKS WILL HAVE FIREWORKS!
