
JETS BEAT PREDS TO CLINCH PLAYOFF BERTH
Kyle Connor had a hat trick and one assist and Connor Hellebuyck made 33 saves as the Winnipeg Jets clinched a playoff berth with a 5-0 win over the Nashville Predators at Bell MTS Place Saturday night. The win marked Hellebuyck’s second shutout of the season and 14th of his career. Pekka Rinne stopeed 38 shots for the Preds who are in second place in the Central Divison, four points back of the Jets. It was the first game of a four game homestand for the Jets who are 5-1-0 in their past six games and 42-28-6 overall. The Jets host the Dallas Stars Monday night.
