“little rock people” or “Oo-meh-mehsih-wuk”
The stories on the rock walls of Norway House
In this story Charles Queskakapow an elder from Norway House shares the stories and lessons passed on to him from his parents.
The story talks about how modern things such as motors and planes didn’t exist, and how the writings on the wall were put there by the mythical “little people”.
He shares also the importance of passing knowledge on the next generation, that they could have their own interpretations of the drawings.
