Midnight Shine’s New (Manitoban) Drummer!

A huge congratulations is in order for Charnelle Menow of Norway House Cree Nation for jumping on the drum kit for Midnight Shine on their latest tour.

Charnelle was born and raised in Norway House and works as a radio host for CJNC 97.9, who started her music career a decade ago when she formed Drink Me Pretty with guitarist Sharness Henry. The band performed at CKDM’s battle of the bands during Dauphin Countryfest last summer. Someone in the audience was livestreaming the performance on Drink Me Pretty’s Facebook page, which further led to her meeting Midnight Shine.

I’ve had the chance to interview Midnight Shine, they are incredible musicians with a wonderful sound. I have no doubt that Charnelle will only add to that vibe.
