More COVID-19 testing in Winnipeg

 In NCI News

People looking to get a COVID-19 test in Winnipeg have a new option as of this morning.

The province says that a mobile clinic has been set up at 1181 Portage Avenue to help ease the burdens of long wait lines at other locations.

It will operate seven days a week form eight o’clock in the morning to four in the afternoon.

Additional drive-thru testing sites are coming as well, with a plan to have one in the eastern portion of the city somewhere on Regent, another in the Polo Park area with a third at a location to be determined in the south.

A fourth site can be added if needed.

Additional testing sites are also slated to open in the near future in Brandon, Winkler, Portage la Prairie and Dauphin.
