NCI archival footage comes to life

Back in the late 80’s early 90’s, the program Keteh-Hiyak was broadcast through NCI TV.

Now you can listen to Legends and stories from elders on Youtube through the channel NCI MANITOBA

Over the last few months I (Davey) have been working with archival footage from the days long gone.

I am excited to premier the first batch of programming up at Youtube.

The new channel will premier more videos as time passes, and tells stories and legends of what life was like growing up with out hydro and living off the trap line.
Listening to a lot of these elders you can find a lot humour  in what they say and how they seen the world.

There’s a lot of wisdom with these Choom’s and Kookom’s

The stories are told in the Native language with subtitles, so everyone can enjoy them:)
