The night was an amazing success, celebrating the amazing talent as well as language of our indigenous people. THE NCI JAM BACKGROUND:

The NCI Jam took place in Winnipeg and featured 17 amateur Indigenous singers with a professional back-up band.

The talent show offered $10,000.00 in prize monies in four separate categories (1st, 2nd, 3rdand the Sidney Castel Memorial Award).  

The NCI Jam has a long history (which began in 1987). It is broadcast live on NCI-FM.   

INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE

2019 was “the Year of Indigenous languages” which is an important part of NCI’s mandate.
