No Park Pass Needed

 In NCI News

Today and through the weekend, you can visit a provincial park without a valid permit.

The provincial government has granted free access in conjunction with the annual Canada’s Parks Day.

Don’t pack up the camping stuff just yet though, overnight sites still require a reservation and payment over the weekend.

The Rivers Provincial Park to the northwest of Brandon remains closed because of recent flooding.  Access to Lake St. George Provincial Park through Peguis First Nation also remains restricted because of COVID-19 protocols in place.

Otherwise, there are more than four million hectares of provincial parks to explore for free over the next three days.
