And of Course Theresa of the First Nations Hair Salon for her huge cash donation!!!
Big Thanks:
To the Otineka mall for hosting the NCI FM crew!!
Kikiwak Inn for providing a home away from home. (They have the best hot wings)
Calm Air for the comfy flight and complimentary cookie. ( damn it was good, and I know my cookies )
The feeling of community
Talking with the community, you could easily see how the Otineka mall plays a huge difference for surrounding communities. Some trappers from Sap were stopping in on the way to meet the NCI Crew when they seen a killer deal for some items.
Folks from Cormorant, Cranberry, Sapotowayak, Pukutawagon, and Moose lake were among the people who dropped by and donated. Big special shout out to one fella from Moose lake who dropped by to donate 4 times!
As a Cree speaker, nothing warms my spirit more than being able to speak my language openly and have other able to converse.
At the top it says “Nothing short of a dream come true”
That’s from the bottom of my heart. As a youth, I always dreamed of making a difference in peoples lives doing good things.
Being able to do that with NCI FM is just…..DEADLY!
