One dead, one injured after two assaults at Winnipeg hotels

The City of Winnipeg has recorded homicide number 27 on the year.

Late last night, Winnipeg Police were flagged down in the 100-block Higgins Avenue.

They were directed to a hotel parking lot where a man was stabbed and left seriously injured.

The victim, 29 year old Joshua Robert Jeromiah Hansen, died after being taken to hospital.

No suspects have been arrested in this case, which was one of two serious stabbings at a hotel yesterday.

The other took place in the late afternoon in the 100 block of Keewatin Street.

The victim in that case is alive but in hospital in critical condition.

Police are also looking for leads in connection with this attack.
