Parental Anxiety of COVID-19 Back to School about 50/50

 In NCI News

Parents on the prairies are about evenly split when it comes to COVID-19 concerns about sending their kids to school in the fall.

A Leger poll released this morning says 47% of moms and dads in Manitoba and Saskatchewan are worried about sending the kids to school while 48% are not.

Nationally, 63% of parents have concerns.

In the prairies, support for mask-wearing at school is also lower than elsewhere, with half of parents saying it should be entirely optional.

That is higher than any other part of Canada and just about twice the national number of 28%.
