Police need information on slaying of Tamara Benoit

Police are looking for anyone who may have information about a woman who was found dead last week near Portage la Prairie.

The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Tamara Benoit and her death is being investigated as a homicide.

She was reported missing on July 10 after having lost contact with her family in late May.

It is believed she may have been in or around Portage la Prairie and Long Plain First Nation in May, but her whereabouts between then and now are unknown.
