Pukatawagan song gets new life

Keewatin breeze; a musical band currently made up of:

MKO Grand Chief Garrison Settee,

Chief Leroy Constant,

Sean Mann (drums)

and AMC Grand Chief Arlen Dumas.

The band recently got together to pay tribute to Sidney Castel by way of re-creating his famous Pukatawagon song.

With the modern sounds of pop and rock fused in with the community sound, the album on which it will be placed, will go along side 13 other great tributes.

The CD is called Band Hall Tunes – Tribute to Legends of Indian Country.

Expect covers of Nipin, NDN car, Love Me Strong, Run as one, and numerous more.

 

 

 

 

 

Currently no launch date of that as of yet, but you can expect Keewatin Breeze to jam out all the covers at this Friday’s Jingle Mingle.
