Record Manitoba Home Sales for June 2020

 In NCI News

COVID-19 put a damper on home sales early on this year, but sales  roared back with a record number of properties changing hands in June.

The Manitoba Real Estate Association says 2,015 properties sold last month.

That shatters the previous sales record of 1,852 in May of last year.

The cash value of all transactions in June is just over $616 million.

With a strong month in the books, year over year sales are down just 3% for the first six months of 2020 compared to 2019.

MREA president Glen Tosh said in a release that the “pent-up demand” from a lack of spring sales contributed to the record number of sales.
