Sacred Feathers now an alternative to Bibles in Manitoba courts

The option went official this morning, as 40 feathers were gifted to provincial courts all over Manitoba.

The feathers were blessed with prayer and a smudge through a sunrise ceremony at the Oodena Circle this morning.

The feather carries deep meaning within indigenous roots.
Often using feathers as a physical representation about the path Indigenous peoples once walked on.
