The Shape Of Rain

This really makes me wonder what other aspects of life we get wrong everyday.

 

 

In this world there are things that are gimmes, knowledge that is basic; Like for instance, water is wet, fire is hot, and somethings you just never pay attention to.

I am talking of course the shape of rain.

For some reason this image of a rain drop is passed down generation to generation with no thought of why this is.

AS IT TURNS OUT; RAIN DOES TAKE THIS SHAPE, BUT ONLY FOR A NANOSECOND.

 

In fact, it actually flattens out like burger to become smaller drops.

 

ONLY WHEN THE WATER SEPARATES IT CREATES THE FAKE RAIN DROP SHAPE

 

 

In fact, the pointed fake diagram of a rain drop was created to show motion on stills. (early film & Animation)
