The UFC has a brand new World Championship belt design!

 In NCI News

The UFC has long held a specific championship belt design for their fighters starting in 2001 and now, starting UFC in Brooklyn, the World Champions will have a new championship design!

The following excerpt is from an article on MMAFighting.com

“Per UFC.com, each belt “is uniquely customized for each individual champion by the athlete’s country, weight class and number of title defenses.” Red stones will be added to the side plates to mark successful title defenses, which means the days of simply piling up new belts are over.

Eight countries that produced UFC champions will be represented on the Legacy belt, with flags from the U.S.A., Canada, Brazil, the Netherlands, Poland, Belarus, the U.K., and Ireland, on the front plate.”

The first belt with the new design will be awarded to the winner of the UFC Flyweight World Title fight this Saturday in Brooklyn between Champion Henry Cejudo & TJ Dillashaw.

I’m so excited to see the new belt contested, I’m considering having a belt remade so I can wrestle Dennis Chartrand of Da Minos Music Lodge for the NCI World Championship. I’ll let him decide.
