Wekitowak Communications is Ready to Start Installing Fibre Optic Cables Throughout Manitoba

About a year ago Wekitowak Communications announced that they had stated to work on a project to bring high speed internet to communities all over Manitoba. It was announced that they are going to proceed with the installation of over 3,120 kilometres of fibre optic cableing in November 2019 and expect to be finished construction of the network in March of 2021. Once all is said and done this high speed internet will be able to reach 31 First Nations communities and 19 other communities all over Manitoba, and is projected to cost 65 million dollars.
